Happy Birthday by Channa

Good morning all,

It's my turn again at Berry71blue!

Today i will share with you a special birthday card.

July is a very busy month for me with birthdays and anniversaries.

It all start with a beautiful tag, made by Marivic and i love
the challenge every month creating something around it.

So this was my tag:

I made this card for my mother, her birthday was yesterday (26th) and to remind her what her daughter looked liked 35 years ago ( my birthday tomorrow 28th) i send her this.

I added one of my pins with pearls & swarovski.

And some pearls on the side of the card with a perlen-pen
and i sewed some pearls trough the little holes.

And to add the finishing touch i made a paper flower with lace in between.

You still have a few days left to join are challenge this month,
hosted by talented fellow DT member Hellen.

Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Cathy's July Project

Hi Girls,

I have a LO to share created with a one of Marivic's gorgeous Berry71Bleu hand made tags. I was totally inspired by Marivic's beautiful Spring tag on this LO.

The delicious tag was accented with clusters of yummy flowers.  I used muslin on my background to add some delicate texture and also lightly highlighted the flowers and leaves with gesso to tie in with the softness of the muslin.

List of Materials:  Berry71Bleu tag, Websters, KandCo pp's, Prima flowers, Manor House Creation flowers, Dusty Attic flowers, muslin, gesso, leaf flourish die, crochet doily, Craft Queen mulberry leaves

Canvas Art using July's Inspiration

Hi this is Marivic, giving Helen's challenge a try this month and also killing 2 birds with 1 stone and making this project for Zeus and Zoe Challenge.

I made this Art canvas following Helen's inspiration photo and Jaz Lee's OTP challenge requirement.

I used 12x12 canvas which I misted I primed with gesso, misted with Tattered Angel's vintage pink. In the background, I used modeling paste mixed with Martha Stewart's acrylic paint and using brick stencil and script stencil. I also used journaling stamp using gesso on the bottom of the canvas.

Just added a few bits and pieces from Zeus and Zoe Custom Kit. The image is from a 2012 Calendar. I hated the fact that I had to cut the calendar, but I love the image so much, it is worth cutting it. Thank you to Calendars.com and I found the same calendar and got 3 more so I can use the images for this purpose, forget about birthdays and appointments!!

These flowers are my latest project lately. I spent so many hours making them it gives me so much pleasure after the seeing the final result. I hand-cut each petal, painted them with Luminarte, hand-curl each petal and glue them all together.

So far, I've done a bouquet of them...I made over 10 flowers in different colors. I enjoy making them, so relaxing for me, makes me forget about stress.. .even though it takes me about 3 hours to make each one of them.

Here is Helen's Challenge again:

July's Guest Designers....Thank you to our good friends!

We are always thankful to all our loyal friends who had always been here for us, commenting, sharing their projects with us...

To thank our loyal friends, we will have months that we will feature them as Guest Designers for Berry71bleu. You will meet new friends and old friends, but we are all here to share the same passion.

We appreciate you being here....

My name is Lisa Novogrodski. I have been involved in the scrap world  since 2009. My artistic mediums include scrap art, altered art, digital alterations and mixed media. I enjoy learning new techniques, growing and expanding in this wonderful craft and sharing with other artists.
I am currently designing for Scraps of Elegance where I am the Design Team Coordinator and Scraps of Darkness.
I have been published in Scrapbook News and Review, Scrapstreet & Scrapbooking.com. I have publications coming out in print for the fall issues of Scrapbooking and Beyond and Crafts N Things.

I am honored to have been asked to serve as a guest designer here at Berry Bleu! I love Marivic's gorgeous detailed tags and have created some altered items I hope you will enjoy.

I am Jona Panesa, a scrapbooker from Manila, Philippines.  A working mom to a grade schooler, Zid  and wife to a photo enthusiast, Glen, who supports my addiction to scrapbooking  and who supplies mostly the photos in my pages.I have been scrapbooking for 5 years now  and never looked back on the joys of scrapbooking.  My style have evolved through the years.  My girly pages are mostly shabby chic and sometimes artsy,  my boy pages are from clean and simple to loud pages.  I do make sure  that there are dimensions,  texture and layering in all my pages and artworks.  I love to alter trash  and turn them into treasures. I love altering bottles  and make them beautiful home decors.I used design for Best Creations, a US manufacturer, and Inkido - now Papercraft Scandinavia,  a Sweddish manufacturer  and guest designer for challenge blogs and online shops.  If not scrapbooking,   you will see me reading books and learning about cosmetics.  I used to bake and do cake decorating which happens to be my first love.  Paper and glue took over and I hope someday  I can do them both with equal attention.I would like to thank Marivic  for the opportunity in Guest designing for Berry 71 bleu.   It really is an honor!  Thank you so much Marivic!
