Hi there Berry71Bleu fans!
Time to announce our winners & features today - yay!
Thanks to all those who played along - we had 15 entries this month.
It was certainly an education to me as I didn't really understand
the definition of STEAMPUNK fully before - I hope you learnt
something too!
Please remember that you need to mention Berry71Bleu in your
blog post & link up to the challenge post, to help us spread the
word about our challenges, in order to be considered for a prize or feature.
It is also imperative that you link up to your ACTUAL BLOG POST
and NOT your entire blog. This is easily done by clicking on the
name of your post then copying and pasting that entire name into
the linky tool - rather than just your blog address.
Here is our winning layout from
Elina in Greece.
Congratulations Elina!
What stood out about this layout is that it was so well balanced and well designed, with white space as well as lots of luscious layers and of course, some added grunge, in keeping with the steampunk theme. The black paint, rough stitching, misting and metal embellishments worked so well together to make this a winning layout.
Elina, please contact Marivic at berry71bleu@gmail.com as soon as possible
with your postal details so that she can get your sponsored prize out to you!
Please look
HERE FIRST (at the original challenge post where you will see that you can win a brand new paper collection from
Studio 75 in Poland OR a $25 gift voucher from our other wonderful sponsor,
Mold Muse - makers of very cool silicone molds used to create your own embellishments) and CHOOSE YOUR PRIZE then e mail Marivic and tell her which prize you have chosen for her to send you.
You get to choose your prize for this challenge - how cool is that?
Here's your winner's badge!
2nd place goes to Gry Anita from Norway
HERE.
As you can see she really got into the challenge, with stunning results!
The grunging up of the papers, together with the stamping and masking,
the black and white photo and the plethora of metals make for a wonderful
layout - congratulations Gry Anita!
3rd place goes to Irina from Russia
HERE.
Isn't this mini-album just WOW?!? Some serious die-cutting machine skills here & I love the metal clasp too! Excellent workmanship & great feminine take on Steampunk Irina!
Both of you ladies may help yourselves to our "Featured" badge below.
Last but not least we have our Random Winner!
They win the other sponsored prize (either the paper collection or mold gift certificate) depending on what is chosen by our Merit Winner.
Congratulations go to Elisabeth Sarkis from Brazil
HERE.
Elisabeth please contact Marivic at berry71bleu@gmail.com as soon as possible
with your postal details so that she can get your sponsored prize out to you!
And don't forget the Zeus and Zoe store
HERE is currently packed to the hilt with divine
SCRAP FX chipboards AND amazing
Manor House Creations Flowers, so if you feel like a little indulgence click on in and have yourself some retail therapy!
These chipboards & flowers are not readily available in the US, being manufactured in Australia, so take advantage of Marivic's great prices & the easy availability before they sell out .
Wherever you are in the world, Marivic will ship to you at ACTUAL POSTAGE COST. So - if you are not based in the US - don't worry about the Etsy postage calculations - just get your order into the cart then e mail Marivic at berry71bleu@gmail.com & she'll be able to see your order in the cart & let you know how much the shipping will be.
All you need to do is create a layout using any type of mixed media on your background - for example paints, gesso, mists, stamps, stencils, etc. The more interesting and unusual the better!
Anyone can play along - we all have some paint somewhere don't we? Any kind will do! Apply it with your fingers, a kitchen sponge, whatever! No paintbrushes required unless of course you want to use one!!
If you are lucky enough to own other mediums you are welcome to use those aswell as or instead of paint.
We are looking for interesting, creative projects that showcase the very trendy mixed media fashion in scrapbooking at the moment!
{See our Challenge Rules at the top of the blog before you begin}
We have an exciting new development this month! We are offering our
Merit Winner an opportunity to Guest Design on our blog here too!
So get creating everyone - this is your chance to shine and have the
whole world see your work showcased right here on this blog,
together with your photo, bio and link back to your blog.
Awesome right?!
Have a great October everyone!!
