March Vintage Challenge Submission from Alice
This project was submitted by Alice from OK. She made 2 projects for this challenge.
1st Entry she sent is a mini-album made into a purse.
"California or Bust 1923. My grandparents wedding trip to California in 1923. Graphic 45 papers. The challenge was to keep embellishments flat so the book would close. It is a" purse" book but it made me think of a vintage overnight case. I covered it in faux alligator skin paper."
This is her 2nd entry..A layout
"This is a very simple layout of my great grandma, "Grandma Jo"
Thank you Alice for your submission for the March Challenge.

My love for flowers
I am a big fan of Prima. I love their flowers and paper collection. For me, I don't think a page is complete without Prima anything. I love adding flowers to whatever I'm creating, it add color and a lot of dimensionality to a layout or any project that I'm making.
I love going to Hobby Lobby. They normally sell the flowers at 50% off and I get the ones that are not too big which I can easily glue to a page and add more flowers if I have to.
My Prima stash
Do you have a flower addiction like me?

Frou Fro Galore is now open at Old Town Spring. The shop is filled with arts and crafts from different artists. Come visit if you're in the Houston area. Or you can always contact me and I will be more than happy to do a custom page for you.
Here are the pages I'm selling at the shop are already attached to shadowboxes. Great gift idea, just glue your picture, and you're done.
This is a wedding page I made. I used Pink Paislee Parisian Anthology and Teresa Collins Paper.
Mother Page
This is a masculine page using the Graphic 45 Proper Gentleman Collection.
A simple but fun page for boys
This page I made using Pink Paislee Queen Bee Collection.
A family page, very similar to what I sold on Etsy last year.
Another Mom page. Perfect Mother's Day gift.

My Booth at Frou Frou Galore in Old Town Spring
The past couple of weeks had been so hectic for me, I've been making a lot of layouts which I'm now selling at Frou Frou Galore. If you happen to be in Houston, pls. stop by Old Town Spring. Here is the info I copied from Oldtownspring.com
"Old Town Spring is a quaint turn of the century town composed of shops, restaurants, museums, and art galleries. You will find a variety of antiques, collectibles, clothing and accessories for the home and gifts for all occasions.
Located near the original rail yards built in the early 1900's by the Great Northern Railroad, our Victorian-style shops have character which adds to the nostalgic feeling of having "stepped back in time." Some of our shops occupy buildings constructed in the early 1900's for the then booming railroad town.
The merchants of Old Town Spring literally travel the globe in search of unique and unusual wares for their shops. We are not a mall! Picture, instead, a place to get outside. Enjoy a leisurely meal at one of the many restaurants offering a tempting array of menus. Bring the children. Bring the family, friends, and business associates. Plan to spend the entire day. You and your guests will want to return again and again."

Last weekend my husband and my 2 kids were at the store setting up our space.
This is the outside of the store with Joshua at the front.
This is what looks like inside the store, very spacious.
This is my space. It's not completely done. We still have to make a table to display layouts that can be displayed on easels. I will also have kits and supplies that I would like to add to what I'm selling
Here are my 2 of my 3 kids, Alyssa and Joshua. Joshua was upset because he'd rather play with everything else but to be in the picture.
Come visit us at Frou Frou Galore, so many talented crafters in one place. Ari, who owns the shop is so sweet, if you ever visit Spring, stop by and tell Ari that I sent you so you can get a 15% off any of my items.

New March Challenge
Hello everyone,
I'm sorry it took me a couple of days to announce the February winner for the love challenge. Congratulations to Vemi for winning last month's challenge. Vemi, pls. email me your address at berry71bleu@gmail.com. Again, I'd like to thank Leslie and Annette for joining. You guys are all talented and I appreciate the time you took to join this challenge.
Now for this month challenge: I've put together a kit a couple of months ago. Like I mentioned before, I was going to donate this kit to one of those scrapbook challenge website, but I never heard from them so I decided to make my own. I think it's a good way to share each other's favorite hobby and at least get to win something too.
This kit that I put together is a combination of this and that. The papers are from DCWV Vintage Collage Collection, Webster's Pages vellum and paper, 7 gypsies. A lot of embellishments from Making Memories, buttons, brads, destash jewelries, trims, tags, etc. You can do a lot of layout, card, or alter something with this.
The theme for this challenge will be vintage. You can choose your own title of your layout, card, or any vintage project that you would like to submit as entry. I will accept up to 3 entries again, but this time it's not limited to LO's or cards, any altered vintage project you create is okay to submit.
The rules: I need your submissions emailed to me by 3/31 (berry71bleu@gmail.com). I will post all entries on my blog and Facebook page (you have to be a fan), if you have a blog, pls. email me your blogsite as I will add a link to it. If you have a blog pls, post you entry there as well with a link to my blog, that way, we can have more people joining us...we need a lot of people to join this challenge, so I can continue giving away kits every month. If this is not a success this maybe the last kit that I will give away. I need your full participation in this. Simple rules right? This challenge is open to anyone as long as you submit projects that you actually created yourself. If you have any questions at all, pls. email me.
Thank you, I can't wait to see your wonderful creations!
