Sample Thanksgiving Card for November Challenge

I made this card for my DT work for Bird is the Word. Unfortunately the word was Adore, for some reason I am not sure how I mixed that up with the word "Give". But with this mistake, I realized that this fits our November Challenge.

I made this card with one of Berry71Bleu tags. I will send this card to my husband's Aunt.

I hope this will inspire you to join the challenge. I embossed the background using gold embossing powder. I added the tag with lots of layers, added flowers, buttons etc. For the metal part I used the sequined pick.

Can't wait to see what you will create..

By the way, I will be opening a new etsy shop maybe in a month. I will be selling vintage items for crafting, ephemera, skeleton keys, handmade flowers and other odds and ends. I will update you when the store will open as I will have a giveaway when it opens. The name of the new shop will be "Zeus and Zoe".

On a lighter note..I found this poem from Stitchin' Heaven. I am not a quilter, but I love their fabric.

Now with this poem, I guess will just trade "Quilter" to "Scrapper".

Ode to My Wife the Quilter
- Author Unknown

She learned to Quilt on Monday,
Her stitches all were very fine.
She forgot to thaw out dinner,
So we went out to dine.

She quilted miniatures on Tuesday.
She says they are a must.
They were quite lovely,
But she forgot to dust.

On Wednesday it was a sampler.
She says stippling's fun.
What highlights! What shadows!
But the laundry wasn't done.

Her patches were on Thursday -
Green, yellow, blue and red.
I guess she was really engrossed;
She never made the bed.

It was wall hangings on Friday,
In colors she adores.
It never bothered her at all,
The crumbs on the floors.

I found a maid on Saturday.
My week is now complete.
My wife can quilt the hours away;
The house will still be neat.

Well, It's already Sunday.
I think I'm about to wilt.
I cursed, I raved, I ranted;
The maid has learned to QUILT !

Have fun!!
