November GD, Elena

Today we would like to share with you beautiful work from our Guest Designer

I have been scrapping for more than 5 years, and I`m completely addicted to
it in past 2 years.
What about my style?  It`s difficult to determine.
I am exploring at the present moment grunge and mixed media, but
being a very gentle person my projects tend to be more feminine. That is
why I like also some shabby and vintage style. I adore using paints, mists and
lace.
My husband is a great support in every aspect of my life, and I'm very
happy that he accepts all my beginnings and crazy plans without any
objections. My 6 years old daughter inspires me to be creative. And I
have new bundle of inspiration - my new born son.
Why I do paper craft? When I was a child I used to like drawing and
painting, now I have discovered a new way to combine my love for art
with keeping the memories of my family.

This crazy challenge is absolutely challenging for me as I am quite a
moderate calm person, and being very modest I was struggling with some
colors. But then I decided to push this struggle out and here is the
result.

I decided to try this time the colors that I don't usually use on my
projects:
yellow, red, and green
They are absolutely striking for me,but I love pink and turquoise, so I decided to combine the colors andthis mix is so strong for me.
I even managed to add these colors on my flowers with the gesso, so I suppose they look quite well there. I am pleased with the result.
I tend to use many mixed media techniques on my projects, so the drips
and splashes are my main characteristics,  that is why I was searching
for some phylosophic theme which can substitute the madness of the
expression. So I thought about woman's age and how it can be transformed into my LO.

I stamped the image of a woman. added a overlay with vintage picture and
use the photo of my friend's daughter.

Moreover I'm afraid of using yellow and black. Here is the result - it
can be quite cool. The feather's flower from Manor House just grabs your
attention. I love this effect.

At the end I covered my swirl chipboard with 3 different colors -
yellow sand, lilac and turquoise , I want to show the tenderness
according with the maturity so I am finishing my philosophic crazy discussion as it has turned into
some ravings.
