Special Guest Designer Tusia Lech

We are thrilled to have Tusia Lech, owner of 7 Dots Studio, sharing her work today as our Special Guest Designer for December!

I love all kinds of media – if I have to define my style, I would say that media is the only constant thing. My favourite colours are fresh, bold greens, blues and pinks, but at the same time I just love delicate, pale hues of beige, rose and white. However there is something in my projects, that can be found always – a positive, feminine style.

Scrapbooking fills my whole life – it is all around me – in my private life and in my job career. I love the process of creation – I have created things since early childhood – all kinds of handmade things always attracted me. I cannot imagine my life without making some art. Even if I leave for a weekend, I always take my small “art-bag”, filled with art-journal supplies. I am lucky enough to be a designer in a few very creative places. I love drinking coffee, reading books, walking through the forest, watching flowers on the meadow, basking in the autumn sun and being deep in my inner world. I can say that I am happy person and wouldn’t change a single thing in my life.

I just love December!!! There is so much joy and fun in everything! Gingerbreads backing, creating embellishments with my kids, documenting everyday happiness - the most precious things to remember. Simple things are the most valuable to me!

For this layout I have used a photo taken in Warsaw Park, a very well known and very often visited park by our family, but each time we are there, my kids are so happy seeing the squirrels, ducks, big gold fish and pigeons. Walking in this park is our joy found in simple moments! Priceless! The background paper is from the 7 Dots Studio Hopefully collection. I used a lot of different embellishments, some gesso and I also did some stamping.

My second project is a card with a gorgeous tag incorporated. The tag is handmade by Marivic - it is so beautiful that at first I didn't want to add anything to it :) Finally, I decided to make a Christmas card.

The background paper is UHK Gallery misted with Olive Lindy's Stamp Gang mist. I have added some embellishments and a bell, which really rings :) Just like Santa Claus' sleigh bells :)

Thank you for visiting Berry71Bleu and looking at my projects. Have a wonderful day!

Here are all the challenge details:
We have a two-part challenge this month. This time of year is perfect to reflect on the past and to look forward to what is yet to come. It's a season for being thankful, to surround yourself with loved ones and to enjoy the simple pleasures life has to offer.

Many call this the "most joyous time of the year." With this in mind, the December challenge is simply: Joy. What brings you Joy? What always puts a smile on your face? Joy can be interpreted in many ways. Think about what person, place, activity, pet, hobby or simple pleasure gives you joy. This can be anything--that first warm cup of morning coffee, reading your favorite book, your family, your dog cuddling up next to you! Think outside of the box.

The second part of this challenge is that you must include journaling. Your journaling must be at least 3 sentences or more. Jotting down places and dates do not count. Document your thoughts and explain why the subject you chose to scrap brings you joy.

Here's the challenge board to bring you some inspiration.
