May Mood Board Challenge - Pretty Bottle Project

Hi everyone, CAROLE here with you today with my latest project for our May Mood Board Challenge.
For this challenge I decided to make something a little different and made a mixed media project.

For this fabulous mood board I used the purple, the gold, the yellow and brown colours along with the damask feel of the background in the first photo.
HERES HOW
Take a glass bottle, mine was a maple syrup bottle with a handle
Prime with your favourite primer and allow to dry
Cut up lots of little pieces of muslin and apply with watered down PVA glue, cover the entire bottle in this way to provide some texture
Allow to dry
Apply lace in the same way
Allow to dry
When completely dry, paint all over with white paint, allow to dry
Add gold, purple and brown inks randomly over the bottle
Attach a small strip of lace around the bottle with glue
Using a hot glue gun, attach a small frame and photo
Add assorted flowers and stamens
Glue fibres around the top, then lace
When completely dry, add a pretty lid.
ITEMS USED
Small bottle
Muslin
Lace
White glue
White paint
Mini frame, painted
Mini photo from the internet
Assorted flowers

This project took quite a long time as I left each layer overnight to dry just to be sure. I hope you like it and have a go using our May Mood Board. And please don't forget to look out for more projects from the rest of the team.
