Last time I could only show you my tag for this month.
Marivic made it in colors that I don`t scrap a lot of, so it was very nice change for me.

I would also like to remind you about our challenge, I hope you will play with us? It`s a great challenge for chipboards lovers.

As a new  Sponsor Coordinator for Berry 71 Bleu /what a fantastic job!:) / I would like you to contact me if you have any sugestions who should I invite for sponsorships. We are looking mostly for sponsors for 2013!

"Welcome my little princess" by Vicky

Hello lovely Berry 71 Bleu followers!

As promised, I have used the amazing tag that I showed you on the blog hop! The colors are soft but happy and I just had to use a baby photo!!!
This is my youngest DD Ioli about one month old!!!

Here is a close up of the unique tag that only Marivic can make!!!!!!

Unfortunately, I don't own a sewing machine so I used a stamp all around the edges of my page to imitate stitching!

To see how to create these ruffles to give dimension to your circle, visit my blog for a tutorial --->HERE!
The background of my circle, was made using a Prima brick mask. I applied some glossy medium with a brush and then I used a sponge to apply distress ink because the medium acts as a resist! (I hope you understand, please excuse my English..LOL)

Don't forget about our chipboard challenge!! You have a few days left! And the prize from Wycinanka is soooo yummy!!!!

Have a nice day!!!
Hugs from Greece!!!!
xoxo

Victorian Paper Cone By Renea

The following is a Victorian Paper Cone that I created using my gorgeous Berry71Bleu Tag.

Here you can see the details of the back of the cone.

Marivic's Tags make creating something beautiful a breeze. They are wonderful all by themselves, and are so inspiring for creating those special projects!!

If you would like to create one of these Victorian Paper Cones of your own, here is a short tutorial on how to get the base shape. I actually made a template first, which allows me to create the cone without having to fold and leave a crease in my decorative paper. Once the template is created, you can save it and use it over and over again.

Step One:
Take a square piece of cardstock. (I used a 12 x 12, but you can make your cone any size you would like.

Step Two:
Fold the square, diagonally to form a triangle.

Step Three:
Take a pencil and starting at the shortest corner draw a rounded top.

Step Four:
Cut off the top and you now have your template.

Step Five:
Open up template, lay it onto your pattern paper. Using a pencil trace the shape onto your pattern paper.

Step Six:
Cut out your shape from the patterned paper.

Step Seven:
Curl your cone until one edge over laps the other, and using a hot glue gun, run a lined down the under side, and then press the top side down sealing the edge.

You now have a cone that is ready to decorate.

I hope that you get inspired along the hop to create something beautiful for yourself!!

"Cafe de Paris" - By Channa

Good morning Ladies,

Remember this Beautiful tag:
This is what i thought when looking at the tag:

I was imagining a girl shopping around in Paris, passing all the big fashion houses and trying on every single dress that she liked. Because she had a date at Cafe de Paris and she wanted to look Gorgeous !

So i made this frame page, if you look at it, i see a window display.
After trying so many dresses she finally found the ONE.

The tag, dress doll and flowers are glued on the outside of the frame, as it was a thin frame.

Close up of the paparazzi following her around ..........

This is my project for this month and my thought process with it.

Good luck with the Mini Challenge and enjoy your day.

Thank you,
Channa

PS: Sorry for the lightning on the pictures.
The sun is shining here in Greece and i could not avoid it ;-)

June Guest Designers

I would like to introduce you to our Guest Designers this month. We also would like to thank them for joining us on our blog hop and most of all thank you for projects well done..

Karola Witczak

My name is Karola Witczak. I am an absolutely addicted scrapbooking Mommy to Rose and wife to Marcin. We live in Poland/Europe, near the border with Germany. I'm a pretty crazy woman, who is dedicated to my scrapbooking passion almost every day, for a few years now.  I am constantly trying to develop my passion - in different ways and stepping on different paths - from digital scrapbooking 6 years ago, to an intensive exploration of the intricacies of traditional scrapbooking, constant learning and teaching others as a scrapbooking instructor. Currently I am working as a freelance designer for a large group of scrapbooking companies, shops, projects, challenge blogs and I'm proud ambassador of many top brands and initiatives in my country of Poland and abroad like a Pink Paislee, Melissa Frances, Glitz Design and others... Sometimes I design products for scrapbooking - it gives me lots of joy and satisfaction. I am proud and honored to being Creative Director and Product Designer in The ScrapCake company, so it's my full time job which I make at home. In everyday life I create a LO's, cards, albums, and other things not directly related to scrapbooking - such as notebooks, home decors.
It is hard to define my style, mostly my friends call it "Karola's style," and often hear that this is a soft, romantic, feminine, eclectic. I love shabby chic but with something modern. In most of my work you can usually see portraits of my daughter - I am absolutely in love with her face, and such pictures usually go to my Lo's and albums. Definitely I like all feminine, romantic themes, delicate, soft colors, I'm also dependent on the sewing machine, especially when I make cards. I love to add new things to my projects, but usually I have a big inspirations from patterned papers, flowers and interesting color palettes - I believe when I have a piece of paper I can create anything! Besides scrapbooking I love to cook, read (for the books I definitely spent much more money than for scrapbooking!), I'm a geek about thrillers and horrors in the books and films. I'm also a rock girl, but I love jazz and bossanova too, I love live music, coffee, and I am dependent on buying jeans and sneakers.

My name is Jennifer Snyder.  I live in Rochester, NY with my husband and my two sons. I've been scrapping for several years but really started working on technique and detail within the last two years. I am a gal who loves the whole tangible aspect of our beloved craft, from the pretty papers to hoarding ribbons and trims. My Husband , of only a few short, sweet years has been a great support for my scrapping passion. He never says anything when the boxes arrive in the mail, or when I come through the door with a shopping bag. He does roll his eyes though. I have found scrapping to be a hobby that can keep your mind active, youthful and refreshed.

Notice I did not use the word sane in that last sentence?  That’s because my family believes I have a split personality as I also scrap under my cat’s name, Escape Kitty.  Escape Kitty is a scrapping Diva in her own right as she often hip checks me out of the way for the scrapping supplies and design spotlight. She believes our house is NOT big enough for the both of us so she volunteers to leave (escape) at every available opportunity.  Her antics  are documented via scrap projects. Through the magic of photoshop, I find Kitty can and does show up almost anywhere.

I am also “all about the story”.  I love to write about the “why” of a page.  I love to explain  my photo choice, my emotional tie to the situation conveyed in the page, or simply just to blather on…like I am doing just now.

Thanks Bery71Bleu for this honor.  I am touched.

Thank you to Karola and Jennifer for such beautiful projects..Remember you can special order your tags from me.

June Challenge...Chipboards, Chipboards, Chipboards

Hi, this is Marivic and I am here to host this month's mini challenge. Our sponsor this month, Wycinanka, had generously provided the winner a package of chipboards.

For this month's challenge, we will use chipboards on our projects...

Paint, mist, glitter, distress, decoupage, stamp, emboss....doesn't matter how you do it, just as long as you use chipboard on your project. It could be a LO, altered art, OTP, home decor, card, tags, or any way you can creatively use chipboards.

So for my project, I used one of the beautiful frame chipboard from Wycinanka, you can visit their website to order yours. There are a lot to choose from.

I painted the chipboard using Creative Imaginations Twinkling H20 in bamboo.

I also made my own flowers using Fabscraps paper roses and for the center one I used my Tim Holtz tattered flower die.

Here is the final project:

I used a paper mache box. Decoupaged with printed tissue and used mod podge shimmer to seal. And fabric to cover the top.

So I hope you can join us and share us your project using your favorite line of chipboard. I must admit that I just started using chipboards on my projects, I was intimidated at first, but now I am getting the hang of it and I sure love it!
