Tracey's Word of the Year layout,"Love"

Hello everyone! Tracey here! I hope your New Year's resolutions are going strong! 

Well, the important ones,anyway..

Today I want to share my first layout 

with Berry71Bleu for the January "One Word" Challenge .

I created this page thanks to Marivic's gorgeous shabby tag 

and today's sketch from Stuck on U Sketches!

I used the delightfully yummy "Mad Tea Party" line by Marion Smith. The tag perfectly complements the shabby roses and even has my word!

All my misting was created using Limor Webber's Industrial Chic by Lindy's Stamp Gang. 

The colors are so rich and gorgeous !

My word for 2014 is Love.

Why?

John 13:34-35

34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Luke 6:32-34

32 “But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 

It's easy to love the people that are nice to us but the challenge Christ gives us is to love those that don't,even those that are mean or rude or outright malicious to us.

So,starting this year,when I catch myself wishing ill will or simply being judgmental,I am going to work to catch myself and view them in love.

In the pic,my daughter and I have exchanged sunglasses-this represents the change in my perspective that I am working toward.

I won't be perfect,but I am taking the steps to be better.

Special Guest Designer Amy Lassiter!

We're thrilled to have our November Challenge Winner, Amy Lassiter, sharing her take on our January "One Little Word" Challenge with us today!

I am a wife to my best friend from college, and the mother to three daughters. I live in a tiny town that sits on a lake, on the prairies of Kansas, USA. I am employed both as a church soloist (I am a classically trained soprano), and also a librarian.

Other than my amazing family, the thing I eat, sleep, and breathe is mixed media art and craft. I adore creating scrapbook layouts and canvases, tags, cards, and altered projects with an eclectic, free, and soulful vibe. I am blessed to be on the design teams of 7 Dots Studio, UmWowStudio, Gauche Alchemy, Viva Las VegaStamps,  Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo, and Genuinely Jane Studios.

In the time when I’m not creating, I also enjoy photography, sewing, reading, thrifting, swimming and snorkling. Most days, I also spend at least a little time planning, journaling and dreaming, about relocating to Oahu, Hawaii; my favorite place on earth.

 I created this layout featuring my word for the year...believe! I have so many goals and dreams I want to see realized, and concentrating on belief will make them happen.

I added all sorts of paints, mists and inks to the background (made of a Pion Design paper, with the center cut out and flipped to the other side. I added 7 Dots Studio "messy head" papers in the corners, and layered up more paper, washi tape, and trims. I gave this a vintage flair, and used lots of ephemera in a quirky way.

I am honored to be chosen as a guest designer this month, and to share my work with all of the fans of Berry71Bleu!

Hello :)

Here is Tusia Lech and my first blog post as Berry71Bleu designer. I am very happy to be a part of this awesome place! I love friendly people and friendly atmosphere - and this is what I found here :) I hope you feel it too.

My layout is about "Peace" - my most important word for 2014. Not that I wasn't a peaceful person - but peace is essential for well-being. Everything is easier and better when we are peaceful :)

On the left you can see gorgeous tag handmade by Marivic Clifton - the owner of Zeus and Zoe etsy store. You can find many gorgeous embellishments there.

I have used mainly Prima products - I layered some flowers, papers, wooden elements, leaves and alpha stickers to create a dimension.

Meet Sandra..Our new Social Media Coordinator!

We have a new Social Media Coordinator!

Hello. My name is Sandra I'm 23 (24 in June), I'm a mother to one precious boy who is going to be 1 in February. I started scrapbooking in July 2013 and I fell in love with it. I'm a DT member for 4 different companies/blogs ( Merly Impressions -from February 2014, Jelly Park - jan 14 - april 14, Craft Garden - from jan 14 and another one which I cant say until first post on the blog but I'm so excited for it! ) you can also find me as a Guest Designer on Allt Om Scrap blog until the end of January. I love to create with my son's pictures using plenty of ink's , stamps, paints and papers. I also started a Project Life in beginning of this month, going to do my second pages tomorrow, so look out for them. You can find my blog here: MY BLOG . Hi! Dana here today sharing my layout for the Berry71Bleu January "One Little Word" Challenge. My word for 2014 is BALANCE. I'm going to try to split my time more equally between family, social, work and personal commitments.

I layered my page elements around one of Marivic's gorgeous handmade tags.

I extended the tightrope from my image across the page with a vellum banner and stacked my title along the line. I want to skip through this year as carefree as the woman in the photo and I'm hoping that a little balance will be the key!
