Early Birthday Years - November Challenge

Hello Everyone

We have a brand new challenge starting today - Early Birthday Years

These early Birthday years are always so special and so I thought it would be a super theme for a challenge.

This month we want to see a project based on an Early Birthday Year. Create a project about yourself, your children, a member of your family, or a special someone - an early birthday year celebration!

I created a layout of my sons 1st birthday and it was quite emotional for me, to think back to how small he was then and how he had just started walking.  He was walking a few steps, but still crawling in between. Now he is already 7 and I can't believe the years have passed so quickly.

I used the super,cute Our Lil' Monster collection from BoBunny.  The cute little birdhouses are Molossi chipboard, which I just inked.

I did some gesso stencilling and stamping on the background and a fair amount of fussy cutting.

The little monster holding the balloons was just too adorable and so I had to fussy cut and use him!;-)

I have a little journalling tag behind the photo.  This is the little bit of red cardstock you see peaking out. Such a special little boy!!

This cake my Mom made for Joe on his 1st birthday and it really was so special too.  He could not keep his hands off it and was delighted with it's cargo of sweets! ;-)

The memory of this special day is certainly treasured!!

So I really hope you will play along and tell us about an early Birthday year celebration too.

My name is Tatiana Yemelyanenko. I'm from Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine. I fell in love with scrapbooking and mixed media in the end of 2011 and now I'm totally addicted. I love that scrapbooking helps me to capture the moments of my life and brings feeling of creativity in ordinary days. I like to experiment with different styles and techniques and use mists, paints, texture pastes and stencils in my projects.

I was inspired by the photo in the right corner of the October Mood Board and tried to recreate a fall mood with colors and embellishments.

The background was created with different mists, glitter and stamping.

I cut leaves, pumpkins and branches on a Silhouette, added wooden embellishments and chipboard which were covered with Jacquard and Luminarte paints.

The journalling I hid in the branches.

This time of year is about celebrating the breathtaking array of colors and textures and the sense of change and anticipation that is evident all around us. We want to see how you are falling for Autumn!
