Hello once again fellow crafters! Kay here with my take on Debbie's flower challenge for the month of April.
I decided to alter a wooden picture frame that I've had in my stash for a good number of months now. I bought a few of these wooden frames at my local craft store Michaels for $1.50. These wooden picture frames are a crafters dream. They're plain wood so you can paint them, use crackle medium on them, stain them or just adhere designer paper to them which is what I decided to do for this particular frame.
I've used one of Inkido's designer papers from their 'Beautiful Memories' collection to decorate the background of my frame. Inkido also happens to be one of our sponsors for this month!
This would be my husband & my son on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I captured my son's vibrant smile in this one & felt it was quite frame-worthy. :-)
Here's a view of my frame from the side standing up. I'm trying to figure out if I want this displayed at my house or in my office cube at work...hmmm. I'll just have to give it some thought...
The butterflies seen on my frame were hand cut from one of Inkido's designer paper. This collection has several images of lovely butterflies, flowers & birds that can be fussy cut & used as embellishments for your projects. I further dressed up the butterflies by applying a bit of Black Diamond Stickles to the bodies.
This peacock I've had in my stash for a few years now. It just so happened that it came handy for this particular project. This is why us scrappers never throw anything out! I'm sure many of you know what I mean by this **wink wink**
Here's my cluster of flowers which is for Debbie's flower challenge. If you're not sure as to what exactly is this month's challenge--read all about it here. I used a combination of felt, mulberry paper & organza ribbon flowers to decorate my frame.
