Hello Everyone
We have a super Guest Designer for the Things with Wings challenge.
She is a really talented and creative lady....
Hello! My name is Athanasia and I'm very happy to be here
with you today! I live in Greece, I am a music teacher in elementary school and
in my spare time, when I am not playing the piano, I love making handicrafts,
felting, altering things and of course scrapbooking. I like scrapbooking
because it combines such a vast deposit of media types not only with memories
of my life and my family, but also with emotions and ideas whenever I have in
my head and want desperately to express! Inspiration always derives from the
photograph I use and the open choice of combination of mixed media techniques.
I love to use gesso, mists and stamps! Through scraping I think I have found
the best way to express myself and exploit my spare time in the best way.
Athanasia created this gorgeous page.
For my layout I
used a white sheet, because I wanted to create my own background as I
visualized it when I found this beautiful photo on Pinterest. I love using
photos I find on the web, I think it's more artistic for my work.
Anyway, to
create this background, I used a stencil with gesso (I can't work without
gesso, lol), then I sprayed a black mist with water to create a watercolor
effect and finally I stamped a hand script with black ink. As I wanted to
focus on the background and make the photo stand out of the composition, i used
very few embellishments: some flowers (sprayed with black mist) and buttons,
some of them broken into pieces and a handmade heart. I also used two chipboard
wings; I torn one of them to match it with the title "broken". I
sprayed them with black mist and added some golden powder. The title is written
with chipboard letters (also sprayed with black mist) and I did some journaling
around the page by hand. For the final touch, I splashed the page with black
mist.
Isn't this just a beauty of a page!!
Thanks so much Athanasia for creating for us at Berry71Bleu.

ReplyDeleteWow! Awesome page! Thanks for sharing your work! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely layuout, Athanasia! However, when the DT projects are posted separately one by one, I would love to have a link to take us readers directly to the original challenge post (more quickly than browsing through the whole month of posts). Of course I can see the theme from each project but I wouldn't want to miss any guidelines that might have been in the first challenge post. If not a link in the text, there could also be one in the side bar along with all the other badges. Thank you so much, I love to join your challenges!
