Enjoy The Little Things In Life by Debbie

Hi, Debbie here with you today to share with you my layout for our June Challenge: What is the thing you love to do most in the Summer?  I spend a lot of time outdoors enjoying the sunshine.  You can find me working in my flower gardens, or sitting out on my deck with a cool refreshing drink and a good book to read.  My favorite author is Fern Michaels. 

Our Design Team sponsor for the month of June is 7 Dots Studio. 

We were lucky to be furnished with some collections to work with.  I used papers and tags from their Domestic Goddess, Hopefully and Love Is In The Air collections.

Our prize sponsor this month is Jacquard. 

 

I was furnished a couple of colors of their PearlEx Power Pigments to work with and used them on the chipboard and lace on my layout.

I first covered my chipboard with some bronze ink.  Then I applied some distress crackle paint and PearlEx Green-Purple and Violet-Brass.  Once dried, I repeated the process.  I also randomly inked the lace below my picture and added some of the PearlEx colors.

Kim Price

My name is Kim Price and I have been scrapbooking for almost 11 years. I live on the Central Coast of NSW, Australia with my husband and 2 grown up teenaged daughters who are a constant source of inspiration for my scrapbooks. Hardly a day ever goes by without me creating something whether it be a layout, beyond the page project, a card, playing with some mixed media or adding to my art journal. I have been very fortunate to have served on some fantastic design and creative teams over the past 12 months including Once Upon A Sketch, Kraft It Up!, Scrap The Girls, The Studio, Another Freaking Scrappy Challenge and Our Creative Corner. I have also been a member of the creative team for The Scrapbook Store – an online store in Australia, and Green Tara – a flower and ribbon manufacturer also based in Australia. 

I am so happy to be the Guest Designer for June at Berry71bleu and look forward to getting to know you all a little better.

Hello Marilyn here and I will be hosting the June Challenge!

SUMMER is right around the corner and I started to plan the things I will do with my family.

No school, summer vacation it is fun time!! so the theme of my challenge is..."What do you most like to do in summer...?

My challenge consists in making a project about your favorite activity in Summer and use bright colors in it.  You might love going to the beach, gardening, scrapbooking, watching the kids play in the park, go on vacation or simply sitting down to enjoy a cold glass of lemonade!!!
