Beautiful by Dana Tatar

Hi! Dana Tatar here today sharing my take on Tanya's Yellow Mood Board Challenge. I selected a nice mix of yellow patterned papers from the Blue Fern Studios Paisley and Vine and Deja Vu collections and some patterned papers from my Zeus and Zoe Kit for this layout.

I applied a light layer of gesso and some yellow mist splatters to the base patterned paper and then built up layers of patterned paper, sheet music, fabric and zippers.

I used the Blue Fern Studios Fancy Signage to support the lamp post that I cut from the Deja Vu Luminaires patterned paper.

I cut the "Beautiful" portion from the Blue Fern Studios A Beautiful Mess chipboard quote for use as a title. I colored the word with white gesso, yellow acrylic paint and Rock Candy Distress Stickles.

I finished this page with a layered butterfly embellishment. The bottom layer is one of the butterflies from the Blue Fern Studios Gabrielle Butterfly Set and the top layer is the Calista Butterfly which is available from Kay's Etsy Shop.

I hope you can find the time to join our challenge this month!

Bloom Tag by Dana Tatar

Hi! Dana here today sharing my take on Mandy's Spring Fling Mood Board. I used vintage fabric, postcards and digital images from Zeus and Zoe along with a fresh mix of flowers, 7 Dots Studio Hopefully patterned papers, colorful ribbon and a butterfly from fellow designers Kay's Etsy Shop to created this layered tag that I can't wait to attach to a Mother's Day gift.

I cut the gold embossed yellow roses and leaves that are tucked into my flower clusters from a vintage post card that came in my Zeus and Zoe kit.

Here's a closer look at Kay's beautiful butterfly. If you haven't been to her shop it is a must see with gorgeous butterflies in a rainbow of colors.

February Love Mood Board Challenge

Hi Berry71Blue fans! Dana here as challenge hostess this month asking you to share some of the things you love! I created this mood board using images that caught my eye on Pinterest. Whether you like birds or butterflies, flowers or feathers, postcards or old books, or something else entirely, just have fun creating a project showcasing the things or people you love. Feel free to incorporate photos, patterns and colors from the mood board in your project, but please do not feel required to use these images. This challenge is specifically about the things you love - no restrictions!

I printed the mood board and used the small list of happy things as the focus of this page.

Underneath the small list are some of my favorite things;  a vintage post card, a flower print notecard, green lace chipboard, ribbon and a butterfly.

I documented the month and year with a printable from the CAT File Store, one of our sponsors this month. I usually create at least one project a year based on my current favorite things. It will be fun to look back at this page next year to see what has changed!

This stunning butterfly is from Karla's Kreative Korner Etsy Shop.

I hope you'll find the time to join our challenge this month! Check out the fabulous prizes donated by our generous sponsors:

First Prize: $15 Gift Voucher to the CAT File Store
