Good morning fellow scrappers--Kay here with my take on May's challenge in collaboration with Once Upon A...Sketch (OUAS)! This month I also had the pleasure of working with chipboard from Scrap FX & papers from Lucky 7 Factory.
This is my son giving one of his more 'pensive' looks. He was approximately 1 1/2 months old here.
I added more texture to the background of my layout by combining several stamps & creating a kind of collage. I've used about 6 or 7 different stamps in a combination of colors--black, gray, purple, green just to name a few.
Here's the sketch provided by Nadia from OUAS. I enjoy working with her sketches very much because they're versatile & can be interpreted in many different ways.
The challenge for OUAS is to use numbers on your page. It can be any number & it can represent anything from birthdays to anniversary's to your age. It can also simply be a statement which was how I approached this challenge. My page is based on how my son is always in my heart '24/7'.
A close up of the Heart Clock chippie by Scrap FX. The texture of this chippie was a simple technique. I simply painted the chipboard with metallic purple acrylic paint & then heat embossed it with Star Dust transparent embossing powder by Stampendous.
My cluster of embellies consisting of a black flocked teddy bear from my stash & spiral tissue paper flowers by Lucky 7 Factory.
Finally a close up of Marivic's lovely tag which matched perfectly with the color scheme of my page. The cute little cherub image went along just right with the theme of my page as well! The scroll you see right next to the tag contains my journaling.
To enter this month's challenge you must use the sketch provided by OUAS & incorporate numbers anywhere on your project. In addition, you'll need to use chipboard on your projects which is Berry71Bleu's part of the challenge.
Now onto the prizes...
Main prize for May:
