It's my turn today, to share my take on the August sketch challenge. The sketch was a real goodie and I really did enjoy it, so thanks to Sandra for the inspiration!
I created a rather retro page to go along with my theme, but think you will agree, that it is rather fitting! ;-)
My son was desperate for some soccer boots. We looked high and low for boots in his size and eventually found these very retro soccer boots in his size. He absolutely loves them and even though his soccer mates have teased him quite a bit, he has just brushed them off and said "I like my boots"!!!! Such a goofy boy, but I love that he knows his own mind and does not care what others think!
So yes, a retro page, was definitely the order of the day! ;-)
Along with the felt rounds, the gorgeous swirly chipboard from
Creative Embellishments, was the perfect addition to this page. I embossed it with white embossing powder.
All the other papers and accents are bits and pieces from October Afternoon collections. I really do love their papers and materials.

consider my work a success! My name is Chantal and I live in beautiful
Adelaide, South Australia. I began scrapbooking 5 years ago and since then I've
