Blue Skies & Lemon Art Journal spread by Marie Johansson

Hey there crafty souls! I´m here today showing you my art journal spred made with inspiration from this months challenge created by Bea Musci.

I took up on the colors and descided to add strong black rings as contrast. The background where created with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists and the black rings by simply dipping a lid into black heavy gesso. Shine Bright stamp from Indigo Blu.

Birds in Spring Canvas by Marie Johansson

Sometimes a project does not have to be simple even though it looks like that. This canvas looks rather simple to do, but I promise you - it took me hours to complete it. 

When I found this great piece of paper from Tattered Angels Mixed Media Orgins I knew it was a perfect match for our May Moodboard. The birds, the flowers and the spring quote summon the feeling of it.

I fussy cut out the focal piece from the paper and then painted it with shades of Tattered Angels Mist. When working with a water brush the mists work as water colors. The result is really good, but it takes time to get the right shades and layers. Well I am happy with the result and hope that you also like it.
