Special Guest Designer - Adriana Bolzon

Hello Everyone

Today I am Guest Artist, here at this fabulous monthly challenge site "Berry71Bleu".
Thank you to the lovely Denise Van Deventer for inviting me to join in this month.

This month for February the Mood Board Challenge is a really
gorgeous mood board. Take a look…..

But firstly a little about myself,

My name is Adriana Bolzon,
I have been a devoted Scrapbooker, card and paper crafter for over 15 years.  You will always find me in my craft room creating, experimenting with different techniques and products, and hopefully inspired others to give it a go. It is a hobby and creative outlet, which I am totally passionate about. I believe that preserving memories are important, and scrapbooking is a great way to create lasting treasures to keep or to give as gifts.  My style is very classic with a distressed, shabby chic and vintage twist. Another passion of mine is creating altered art pieces, turning everyday items into works of art.  My work has been published in many Paper-crafting magazines around the world, and also featured on online scrapbooking forums.

I live in beautiful South Australia with my husband & daughter. I am very fortunate to have been on many paper crafting Design Teams including Kaisercraft, Couture Creations (Artdeco Creations) and many more.

You can find my creations and more inspiration here on my blog:

Here is my project for the challenge….

I took inspiration from the beautiful pinks, flowers and the small window frames of the old phone booth and created this framed Off the page project.

I covered the whole frame with white gesso and then
added some muslin cloth to soften around the edges.
Using the new release papers and dies from
Ultimate Crafts -
Artdeco Creations - Couture Creations

using these collections "Enchanted Tea Party" collection of papers, dies & stamps
"L"Aquarelle" papers, stamps & dies

I cut the dies and covered some of the dies with embossing powders

Using the stamp set from the
Ultimate Crafts L'aquarelle stamp set ULT157796
for the flowers of the vase.

Love this dragonfly die Ultimate Crafts L'Aquarelle Dragonfly Die set ULT157785 - I heat embossed the wings and body.

You have until 28 Feb to upload your project HERE

Thanks for looking,

Cheers and big hugs
Adriana XXXX

Pride & Joy Tag by Marie Johansson

I´m here today with a romantic tag created with inspiration from the February Moodboard. I must admit that the colors was hard to me - soft pinks and neutrals is something I seldom us - but hey - I love a challenge.

I had these really beautiful papers from Green Cat Story that fitted perfect for this project. Together with flowers and a chipboard wordlet from Scrap FX they add the perfect romantic touch to the tag.

Some details:

My Happy Place - Guest Designer - Megan Gourlay

Hello Everyone

We have a super, duper Guest Designer lined up for you today....she really does create such beautiful projects! A HUGE welcome to Megan Gourlay! ;-)

[DSCN1575.JPG]

My name is Megan and I live in a small town called Woodend, just outside of Christchurch, in the beautiful South Island of New Zealand, with my husband and our two dogs, Dougal and McKenzie.  I work part time as a Registered Nurse in a busy general surgical/colorectal ward, and in my spare time you find me either glued to a book, in the garden, or scrapping.
I started off making cards back in 2001 and then progressed to OTP - I was never going to go anywhere near scrapbooking lol.  I love altering items more than any other scrapbooking, but cards would be my next choice - layouts come last!  If you asked what my style was?  Im not quite sure, just whatever takes my fancy at the time I think.  But I am a neat freak ;)
At the moment I'm designing for Cardabilities, BoBunny, and a local store Artful Crafts, and I regularly teach each year at Scrap Away Retreat.

When I saw this months mood board it was a bit of a challenge - I have never done a mood board challenge before!  I decided to focus on the birds, home as my favourite place, lace and the colours.

My project is a used chipboard ribbon reel.  I've attached a little house - I had found this when looking for Christmas decorations and knew it would come in handy!

The chipboard fence, ladder and lamp post have all been painted with gesso, stamped and inked to give them a bit more character.

I've fussy cut my birds and trailing flowers from BoBunny Madeleine papers

and draped my flower vines around the base and through the birdhouse to give it that cottage look.

This was such a fun challenge!!  I hope you've enjoyed looking and thank you for inviting me along Denise! :)

Thanks so much Megan for creating this beautiful project for us! It really is a soft, blissful and gorgeous take on the January Mood Board! ;-)

Here's a reminder of the Mood Board Challenge and the prizes to be won! ;-)
