Special Guest Designer - Adriana Bolzon

Hello Everyone

Today I am Guest Artist, here at this fabulous monthly challenge site "Berry71Bleu".
Thank you to the lovely Denise Van Deventer for inviting me to join in this month.

This month for February the Mood Board Challenge is a really
gorgeous mood board. Take a look…..

But firstly a little about myself,

My name is Adriana Bolzon,
I have been a devoted Scrapbooker, card and paper crafter for over 15 years.  You will always find me in my craft room creating, experimenting with different techniques and products, and hopefully inspired others to give it a go. It is a hobby and creative outlet, which I am totally passionate about. I believe that preserving memories are important, and scrapbooking is a great way to create lasting treasures to keep or to give as gifts.  My style is very classic with a distressed, shabby chic and vintage twist. Another passion of mine is creating altered art pieces, turning everyday items into works of art.  My work has been published in many Paper-crafting magazines around the world, and also featured on online scrapbooking forums.

I live in beautiful South Australia with my husband & daughter. I am very fortunate to have been on many paper crafting Design Teams including Kaisercraft, Couture Creations (Artdeco Creations) and many more.

You can find my creations and more inspiration here on my blog:

Here is my project for the challenge….

I took inspiration from the beautiful pinks, flowers and the small window frames of the old phone booth and created this framed Off the page project.

I covered the whole frame with white gesso and then
added some muslin cloth to soften around the edges.
Using the new release papers and dies from
Ultimate Crafts -
Artdeco Creations - Couture Creations

using these collections "Enchanted Tea Party" collection of papers, dies & stamps
"L"Aquarelle" papers, stamps & dies

I cut the dies and covered some of the dies with embossing powders

Using the stamp set from the
Ultimate Crafts L'aquarelle stamp set ULT157796
for the flowers of the vase.

Love this dragonfly die Ultimate Crafts L'Aquarelle Dragonfly Die set ULT157785 - I heat embossed the wings and body.

You have until 28 Feb to upload your project HERE

Thanks for looking,

Cheers and big hugs
Adriana XXXX

This is our story by Virág Réti with video tutorial

Hi My Crafty Friends,

Today I am going to show you my brand new mixed media layout. I do not like using vivid embellishments and the shades of pink and purple, but the monthly moodboard inspired me.
I cut out flourish motif, butterflies and pigeons from a printable sheet and started to decorate the page. I must say that the result is totally out of my comfort zone, but I really like this page.
This is the first memory that I keep from the new chapter of my life.
So many of my smiles begin with this layout, because our story has started... :)

Here is the process video:

That story by Virág

Hi My Crafty Friends,

The monthly mood board is gorgeous, in spite of this it was hard to me to create something with this purple and green colour composition.
I found some cardstock box in my apartment and I decided to use that as a background and I built up the layout with crackled paste, mists, metallic paints, modelling paste and micro embellisments in different colours.

Don't forget our October Challenge!
The moodboard is very inspiring.

Art Journal Page - Denise van Deventer

Hello Everyone

It's Denise here today, to share my take on this months mood board! ;-)

Here's a reminder of the board first.

This board certainly challenged me to try something different.
So I created an art journal page.

I used the Enchanted Garden collection from BoBunny, along with some stencils, stamps etc.

I created a little scene, with fairies, foliage, dragonflies, stars and the moon.

I wanted to use a "magical" sentiment and so found this gorgeous quote -
"She wanted to touch dragonflies and stars,
Dance with fairies and talk to the Moon"

So this was the inspiration for the scene that I created.

I used a tree die-cut and some Distress ink to create the tree images and was rather pleased with how that turned out on the page! ;-)

So now it's your turn and we hope you will join the challenge!

Decoupaged Mini Album by Denise van Deventer

Hello Everyone

It's Denise here today, to share a decoupaged Mini Album with you.

It's my sisters Birthday coming up at the end of the month and so I wanted to make something special for her. It's a Happiness is Homemade album.

I used the soft and pretty colouring from the mood board, as inspiration for this project.

So firstly, here's the cover.

I decoupaged the cover, and then added some gesso stencilling, some paints and inks to give it a vintage feel.

I used the Soiree Collection from BoBunny to create this little album, as the colours were perfect!

Here are the inside pages.  I used lots of little bits and pieces, along with lots of stamping.

I really love how this album turned out and really hope that my sister will love it too! ;-)

So now it's your turn.....
What will you create?
