Dream Layout - Special Guest Designer - Anna-Karin Evaldsson

Hello Everyone

We have a super duper Special Guest Designer today and she is an amazingly talented lady and super nice lady too...a warm welcome to Anna-Karin Evaldsson.

Hello! I am Anna-Karin and I live in Stockholm, Sweden. I have two boys who often join me in my studio, although the little one is still too small to stamp. I have been doing arts and crafts my whole life. After starting to make cards in 2002, I began to scrapbook two years later. I had found my home among paper, stamps, ink, paint, dies, photographs and embellishments. My hands are ink stained almost daily and I enjoy switching between different projects: cards, tags, mini-books, art journaling, layouts, canvases and 3-D/home décor. 

I love trying out new and old techniques and many of my projects have mixed-media elements. Building scenes, playing with texture and colour are some of my favourite things. It is wonderful to think about everything you can create with just paint and a white sheet of paper. I am so happy to be a guest designer at Berry71Bleu today and I loved the gorgeous March mood board, perfect for spring. It has been some time since I scrapped older photos, and for this layout I used a school photo of myself. At the time, I really disliked this particular photo, although now, I can’t even remember why. Because of that reason, I thought it fit well together with the great sentiment on the mood board, which I stamped as my journaling next to the photo.

Decoupaged Mini Album by Denise van Deventer

Hello Everyone

It's Denise here today, to share a decoupaged Mini Album with you.

It's my sisters Birthday coming up at the end of the month and so I wanted to make something special for her. It's a Happiness is Homemade album.

I used the soft and pretty colouring from the mood board, as inspiration for this project.

So firstly, here's the cover.

I decoupaged the cover, and then added some gesso stencilling, some paints and inks to give it a vintage feel.

  I used the Soiree Collection from BoBunny to create this little album, as the colours were perfect!

Here are the inside pages.  I used lots of little bits and pieces, along with lots of stamping.

I really love how this album turned out and really hope that my sister will love it too! ;-)

Here's a little bit about Melenia.

"My name is Melenia Agapides! I live in an island of Greece and am mother of 2 kids, as well as an Airport Authority Officer at our local airport. I started scrapbooking in 2009, but I got more involved in 2011. I'm a layout designer and I love working with masks, inks, pastes, mists and threads. Together - A Layout by Cathi

All About Mom - Pay tribute to your own mom or create a project based on your own thoughts & feelings about being a mom.

My layout is all about my wishes for my children, I have used some great quote stickers from 7 Dots Studio to share some of my hopes and wishes for my children: "dream without fear", "love without limits", "why stop dreaming?". I chose a photo of my girls and I much younger (and me much thinner!) and used gorgeous 7 Dots Studio paper.

Here you can see the gorgeous rectangular striped rectangle chippie and heart confetti I used from Um Wow Studio I also used a gorgeous Handmade flower from a Zeus and Zoe kit I purchased.

Another fun Zeus and Zoe jeweled embellishment here, along with some flowers from my stash and more Um Wow Studio heart confetti. I used a mask and some Shimmerz Texturez to add some texture to my layout. Behind the tag are a few private thoughts about motherhood and my two gorgeous girls. I hope you like it and will consider joining in with us these last few days of May!

Altered Frame - Guest Designer - Maja Nowak

Hello Berry71Bleu Fans

Welcome to Saturday and welcome to a post where we say hello to a wonderful and fabulous Guest Designer - Maja Nowak.

Here's a little more about this amazing designer.

My name's Maja Nowak, I'm a wife to a wonderful supporting husband and a mom to two boys. We live in the South of Poland. I've always been crafty in one way or another, I've had episodes of knitting, cross-stitching, painting drawing and even a decoupage period - until in 2008 I came across the word "scrapbooking" in the Internet and was lost for good :) My style is a combination of the romantic vintage with a more modern, boyish look, i.e. you'd often  find metal charms, sprocket gears and screw brads mixed with roses and lace in my creations. Luckily for me, my boys don't mind flowers in their layouts, so I take advantage of that until I can :)

I'm happy to be joining Berry71Bleu for this inspiring moodboard - thank you Denise for inviting me!
