Hello my crafty friends!
It's Mandy here hosting this month's fun challenge for February - "Mixed Media"
Mixed media, in visual art, refers to an artwork in the making of which more than one medium has been employed.
Create a "mixed media" page, canvas, card, etc. using more than one medium.
Example: paints, mists, textured paste, gesso, chalks, inks, rubs, embossing powder, and more!
Here is my example for this month's challenge: An 8"x10" canvas. I used inks, modeling paste, rubs, mists....
I also added/altered beautiful chipboard pieces (keys, Hope) and Sticky Bling from Molossi. The beautiful flowers are from "Manor House." I added ink to them to coordinate with the background work.....
Here I show a different angle of the full project:
Here is a close up of the textured, inked, misted, heat embossed details:
I used the "Hope" chipboard piece from Molossi on this canvas and altered it by adding gesso and gold rub to it.
I added many flowers from "Manor House" and altered some by using inks to match the colors in the canvas....
I used the drywall tape as a stencil using modeling paste. I added the tape to the canvas by painting, misting and inking.
The Sticky Bling is from Molossi. I wanted to give an illusion of extending my hair down the canvas by adding them.
Please have fun with this challenge! I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
