Old Town by Tusia Lech

Hello fellow scrapers.
Here is Tusia Lech. I wanted to show you my layout with a photo taken in 2012.

Warsaw Old Town was totally destroyed by Germans during Second World War and was rebuilt by Polish people. In 1980 it became a part of Unesco World Heritage List. In Spring, Summer and Autumn we (me, my husband and kids) love to walk there and eat some ice-creams or just look at the Vistula river. We are so happy that we can live in free country. Photos from Warsaw Old Time have a special place in my heart.

I have used - Perfect Pearls Mist (Mandarin and Mint), Chalkboard Glimmer Mist, gesso and Art Anthology spray Waimea Bay. In my layout I incorporated also Molossi Chipboards and Manor House flowers.

Manor House flowers was sprayed by me, because I needed to make them coordinating with the rest of my layou.

At the top of my photo you can see also a Marivic gorgeous tag.

Special Guest Designer Wiosanka

We're thrilled to have the talented Wiosanka join us as a Special Guest Designer today!

My name is Anna, in the virtual world I use my nick – Wiosanka. I live in Poland, near the Baltic Sea. I’m a wife of a georgeous man and mother of two wonderful boys – Paweł (almost 8) and Tomek (almost 6). We spend much time together and we’re a rather sporty family. We ski in winter, swim and go on bike trips in the summer.

What I love most about scrapbooking is making layouts and occasional albums with photos of my boys. I just love to work with pictures.

I can’t live without colorful papers, washi tapes and paint splashes. There is also black ink and structural paste on almost all of my work. I like chipboard very much and I often put them on my projects. And recently, I started to discover the mixed-media world.

For this occasion I made the layout about dreams and being a woman.

The girl in the photo is me thinking about my place in the world and about the future of my family.

I used lots of different media to create the background. There are some Lindy's Stamp Gang mists, gesso, gel medium, glass filler and water paints.

I chose 9th Wave papers - a very feminine collection from 7 Dots Studio.

I added some chipboard, flower and flair.

All the details were chosen to fit with the fabulous Marivic's tag. :-)

Time Flies Mixed Media Canvas by Cathi

Hi! Cathi here with my mixed media canvas I have created for Mandy's February Mixed Media challenge! I had a GREAT time spraying and misting and stamping and using molding paste, gesso, embossing powder...

I sprayed my canvas with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starbust Spray in Tibetan Poppy Teal, my favorite color, and then added in a bit of brown Opal Sea Oats. I used Sepia Archival ink to do my stamping and used the numbers, gears, shattered glass and Time Flies stamps from the set as well as the great clock. You can see the amazing dual red and purple tones on the Razzleberry Plum embossing powder from Lindy's on the Molossi Barbed Wire Ornate Frame Large. I have also colored in the Molossi Dove with gesso and the sprays. I took two cogs from the Cogs #1 set and embossed them in silver and also cut them in half to add to the canvas edge.

I added a purple Manor House Creations Razzles flower cut in half and placed at the edges of the canvas. Above you can see where I used molding paste to do a clock stencil design. I also added some drywall mesh tape to the canvas for more texture and added gesso to that as well.

It was a lot of fun getting inky and messy for this one and I really hope you like it!!
