Hey Ho everyone!

How we are feeling? Today I have for you my take on the February Mixed Media Challenge.

But before that let me just introduce myself a bit ;) Some of you might already have met me as I was taking a part in the challenges and now I'm a social Media Coordinator here. ;)

My name is Sandra Przybylska, I started scrapbooking in July 2013 (yes - not so long ago) and I do love everything about it! I live in United Kingdom, but originally I come from Poland.
At the moment I design for 4 teams - Jelly Park (until April 2014) Scrap 365 Magazine Sketch Blog (until July 2014) Merly Impressions (no end date) and Craft Garden (no end date). I do like to work in advance. I don't know why, maybe because I just do like papers, inks, mists etc so much so I just cannot hold myself from not creating! I do Project Life, Art Journal, Mini Albums and of course Layouts. ;) You can find me on FB, IG, Pinterest and here is my blog !

Mixed media, in visual art, refers to an artwork in the making of which more than one medium has been employed. For this challenge, create a "mixed media" page, canvas, card, etc. using more than one medium. Example: paints, mists, textured paste, gesso, chalks, inks, rubs, embossing powder, and more!

Once Upon a Time by Denise van Deventer

Hello Everyone

It's Denise here today with a mixed media page that I created for Mandy's challenge Mix it Up with Mixed Media here.

I created a vintage page of my grandparents. I got this photo from my Aunt at Christmas time and really wanted to use it, as it was so very special! My grandparents were so young here and don't they make a handsome couple!!

I had some embossed papers leftover from my Zeus and Zoe DT kit which I stuck down to the card stock and then added some book page strips across these.  I then gessoed everything and then laid a stencil down and added some spray ink. I added some pen lines and stamping to complete the background.

I had a beautiful, vintage tag from Marivic, which was the inspiration for this page, as the lady in the tag reminded me so much of my Gran when she was young. I also used a gorgeous Molossi chipboard title, a beautiful Manor House flower and the fabulous glass accent flower by Art-i-cake.

Initially I was a bit worried as to the colour combination, but in the end I was thrilled with how the colours all worked so nicely together.  The combination really added to the vintage feel.

The chipboard title from Molossi, I embossed with copper powder and it really did come out beautifully!

Special Guest Designer Caroleanne Wright

Today we are happy to welcome Special Guest Designer Caroleanne Wright!

Hi everyone! I am Caroleanne, and I am so thrilled and excited to be here with you as a Guest Designer for Berry71Bleu. I live in the UK by the seaside with my lovely husband, teenage daughter that I mostly scrap (Jess) and a cute Bishon called Millie.

I am enthusiastic for all things scrapping, I scrap daily, I love photography, card making and baking cakes. I have been crafting and sewing my whole life and when I found scrapping that was it, I was lost in it! I am never happier than when I am immersed in my scrappy world. I have been scrapping for a few years now and have fallen completely in love with it, I am totally addicted and cant stop! I love making layouts, will try all new things and can do mixed media/canvases, tags, cards etc. One of the reasons I love this hobby so much is that it carries our memories with it.

I believe all my layouts and memories will become family heirlooms for the future. I also love the papers, flowers, lace, ribbon and all the other pretty elements I get to play with. My style is quite girly, feminine, shabby, flowery, pretty and I think I am most known for my flowery clusters. I am on the STUCK ON U SKETCHES design team, a sketch team, (I love sketches) and the CHERISH THE MEMORIES FOR LIFE design team, a sketch team in Norway. Here's my take on the February Mixed Media Challenge. I loved this challenge as it’s great fun to get all the paints and mists out and I don’t really do it enough! I loved the tag and chipboard that Marivic sent me, they are just perfect for February. And I loved using these colors, so pretty and pink, very me!

Believe Canvas with Dana Tatar

Hi! Dana here today sharing a 6x6 canvas that I created for the February Mixed Media Challenge. I used two stencils on the background of my canvas, a doily stencil with molding paste and a dot stencil with pink ink.

I love Marivic's handmade tags and layered one on top of some Manor House Creations flowers (from Molossi) and some vintage buttons from the Zeus and Zoe Etsy Shop.

I finished my canvas with a piece of beautiful Molossi Chipboard. I colored it with some two-toned embossing powder. I embellished the "i" with some Molossi Sticky Bling.
