*One Little Word*
Hello Everyone! Denise here today with our first challenge of 2014! Since it's a new year, with new aspirations, dreams and wishes, our
challenge this month is about that very thing! What is your "One Little

December 2013
*Joy*
Hello once again fellow crafters! Kay here introducing the very last challenge for the year 2013! Wow...where did this year go? A blink of an eye and we're smack dab in the beginning of the Holiday season. We have a two-part challenge this month. This time of year is to reflect on the past and to look forward on what is yet to come. It's a season for being thankful, to surround yourself with loved ones and to enjoy the simple pleasures life has to offer.
Many call this the 'most joyous time of year.' With this in mind the December challenge is simply: Joy. What brings you Joy? What always puts a smile on your face? Joy can be interpreted in many ways. Think about what person, place, activity, pet, hobby or simple pleasure gives you joy. This can be anything--that first warm cup of morning coffee, reading your favorite book, your family, your dog cuddling up next to you! Think outside of the box.
The second part of this challenge is that you must include journaling. Your journaling must be at least 3 sentences or more. Jotting down places & dates do not count. I want you to document your thoughts and explain why the subject you chose to scrap brings you joy. Here's the challenge board to bring you some inspiration.
November 2013

*Fall Is In The Air*
Hi everyone! This is Marivic and I am hosting the October Challenge. If you're one of the lucky ones that get to live where you can see the Fall Foliage, then I envy you. I live in Houston where it is still in the low 90's and humid. The weather will start to cool off around Halloween. If you live in the Southern hemisphere I am sure you are enjoying the beauty of Spring in all its glory?
It is October...my birthday month and I would love to see what you will create for us this month...
Fall colors is our theme this month.
Use the colors that you see in the mood board.
September 2013
*Sketch Plus Mixed Media*
Hello everyone, Debbie here with you today hosting the Berry71Bleu September Challenge!
It's so hard to believe that the months of Summer have come and gone and Autumn will make it's appearance this month. I love Autumn. Its my favorite time of the year.
For the September challenge I created this sketch and also ask that you incorporate some mixed media into your project, such as gesso, modeling paste, mists or inks.
Can't wait to see what you
create!
August 2013
*Get Creative With Textiles!*
Hello Everyone, Norma here with you today and I'm very excited to be hosting my very first Berry71Bleu Challenge! So let's get this party started: Welcome to the August Challenge!
This month's challenge is all about TEXTILES. I absolutely love
adding texture to all my projects and using fabrics is one of the
easiest ways to do it. I frequently mix remnants of fabric in between
layers of paper, paints and inks because they instantly add depth to any
project. **So I want to challenge you to get creative with your
projects by adding textiles. You can use any kind of fabric, twine,
lace or ribbons.** Think about using a piece of a favorite blanket or a
piece of clothing that has seen better days but you just haven't been
able to part with or dig into your fabric/twine/ribbon stash. You could
make flowers, a fabric album or mini book, layer it into a layout, card
or make a tag. Just grab some TEXTILES, set your creativity free,
create something that makes you happy, then come back and share it with
us!! Make sure you link up by the end of the month for your chance to
win prizes from this month's generous sponsors.

Hi! It's Bellaidea today. I have a pleasure to host Berry 71 Bleu Challenge in May.
It's a very special one since we also collaborate with Once Upon A ...Sketch challenge!
First you have to use OUAS sketch and rules about journaling and their theme numbers.
All our Design Team did it too and you will see our work during the month.
Second, you have to incorporate work with chipboards on your projects.
You can use any chipboards you have but our Design Team was lucky to work with beautiful chipboards from Scrap FX. Thank you again Jill for this opportunity!

Since we are talking about you...(the queen!). Here is our January theme that you need to follow.

November 2012
Welcome to the March Challenge!
Kay here hosting my very first challenge for Berry71Bleu.
I decided to go with a bright and colorful theme: "You Color My World"
The challenge is to use paint in your project.
The challenge is to use paint in your project.
I'd like for you to base your project on someone that just brightens
your life. That one person(s) that adds 'color' to your life--that gives
your life meaning & makes it all worthwhile. It can even be a pet!
Being an owner of one very lovable fur baby I know how much
unconditional love & happiness a pet can bring into someone's
life--so yes, even pets count & yes it can be more than one person!
If that person(s) or pet puts a smile on your face--then create a
project in their honor! You do not necessarily have to make it a bright
& colorful project, just use the photos as inspiration since they
are all lively & joyful photos. The challenge is to incorporate paint into your project. You can use
paint in many ways on your projects--to add texture to your backgrounds,
to add random splatters of color, to color embellishments such as
chipboard...let your creativity be your guide!

*White Space*
Hello, Anupama here!
I am excited to be hosting my first ever challenge at Berry71Bleu.
The theme for this month is "White Space."
The theme for this month is "White Space."
WhiteSpace is defined as the portion of a page left unmarked or blank in visual arts.
I love using whitespace (or negative space as some may call it) in my designs
as it adds an edge to the page composition!
I am a trained interior designer and have always been impressed by stark minimalism.
I guess that the same design sensibilities have spilled over onto my scrapbook pages.

ourselves and we will celebrate us...What a great way to start the year,
right? This challenge is no-holds-barred...talk about your new year's resolution, your dreams, your childhood, your best and worst moments, what makes you laugh, cry, mad...what makes you feel beautiful...your best physical feature, what you wish you can change about yourself...your pet peeves, your frustrations, your favorite food, color...maybe a secret? whatever you want to talk about as long as it's all about you.

Anyone can play along - we all have some paint somewhere don't we? Any kind will do! Apply it with your fingers, a kitchen sponge, whatever! No paintbrushes required unless of course you want to use one!
If you are lucky enough to own other mediums you are welcome to use those as well as or instead of paint.
We are looking for interesting, creative projects that showcase the very trendy mixed media fashion in scrapbooking at the moment!
We have an exciting new development this month! We are offering our Merit Winner an opportunity to Guest Design on our blog here too!
